Let’s speak out (BA Graduation project)
2020-2021 (68 pages, A4)
The idea came up with ‘What is being myself?’.I wanted to ask that question to people around me and did an interview with six people. As a result of having a conversational interview with my friends, they confessed to me the pain inside them which related sexual violence. Research plan was using google form and do the survey about sexual violence based on Korean and world wide. The goal was to have more than 150 people participate in the survey, and interviews will be conducted for those who are expected to respond to future interviews.
The ultimate goal of my graduation work is inducing a change in the perception of survivors of sexual violence in society. Through the symbolic sentence “Let’s speak out”, to depict that people who have experience from the past have endured well and are living strong, and freeing themselves from the pain and bad memories of being survivors. Project includes an interview visual book using editorial design, one main visual poster, sticker and use audience participatory art (write a message to the survivors).
